The programme included an international element, with OTL Group coordinating the dismantling, transport, and reinstatement of key production equipment from Sweden into the new facility in Newport. Working to an agreed sequence, logistics, handling, and installation requirements were managed to ensure machinery and line components were transferred efficiently and re-established in the correct positions to support production workflows.

This scope required close coordination between site management, logistics partners, and multiple trades, aligning equipment installation with the wider fit-out programme. Careful planning and sequencing ensured the building works and production line reinstatement progressed in step, supporting continuity for the client and maintaining programme control throughout.

Within the new unit, internal areas were formed to support both operational and staff requirements, including dedicated laboratory accommodation, welfare provision, and meeting and collaboration spaces. Layouts were planned to create clear separation between production support functions and day-to-day administration, improving circulation, usability, and staff experience.

Durability and maintainability were central to the specification, with finishes selected to suit an active industrial setting where cleaning regimes and product handling are routine. Wall and floor solutions were chosen for resilience and ease of upkeep, with detailing designed to support hygiene and minimise long-term maintenance demands.

Mechanical and electrical installations were delivered throughout to support the new layout and manufacturing requirements, including new lighting, power distribution, and armoured cabling. Ventilation measures were introduced to suit higher heat loads and activities, with environmental conditioning provided for laboratory areas. IT infrastructure, structured cabling, and Wi-Fi coverage were integrated to support operations across the facility.

The completed facility provides the client with an upgraded operational base, combining fit-for-purpose spaces with modern services and dependable connectivity. Through structured planning, coordinated delivery, and quality-led installation, OTL Group enabled a smooth transition into a more suitable environment, supporting efficient day-to-day working and a clear, structured handover for ongoing use.
